Vern Eide Honda Sioux City Dealership in Sioux City, Iowa

My wife and I recently purchased a vehicle through Verne Eide. We worked with Dominick and Sam out of this location. He was fantastic! We do not buy cars often, and this is the first time we have ever felt comfortable purchasing through a dealership. We began our search at Verne Eide in Sioux Falls and ultimately found the right vehicle for us out of this location. Jared in Sioux Falls got things rolling and he was not forceful or pushy like most other salespeople we have encountered in the past that pushed us away from making purchases at a dealership. Dominick and Sam picked up where Jared left off. They were extremely friendly and worked to answer any question we had as best as they could. They were not pushy or forceful either! We had been so rushed to get to the dealership in time to get the car that day (we had no backup option and needed to make the purchase ASAP), that we forgot a bunch of necessary items/documents at our home over an hour away. Dominick and Sam were patient, understanding, and helpful through the entire process. It was truly a helpful and enjoyable experience. Thank you Dominick, Sam, and Verne Eide!

Fred Hexom is easily the best car salesman I’ve ever worked with. I’ve spent a fair share of time at several dealers in Siouxland usually with bad, impersonal, and/or dishonest practices. Fred & Vern Eide were so far from any of those things. After meeting Fred and telling him about my upcoming Jeep lease end, what I was looking for, and where I wanted to sit financially, Fred & the managers went straight to work figuring out what my best option would be. Unlike similar experiences at other dealerships where I would tell them my needs and they’d tell me I have no options and let me walk out of the dealership with no effort put into their customer service. In just a few days of trial and error, Fred got me set up with a new 2023 Hyundai Tucson lease right in the pocket of where I needed to be for payments. His diligent work over several days, constant communication, and understanding is what ultimately made me switch from being a Jeep driver for the past decade to a proud Hyundai driver. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment, and was immediately greeted by a service technician. We went over what I was there for, and left the key fob with her so they could start the work. The oil change and tire rotation didn’t take long. Great job 👍😎

A few months ago, was my first time going to Vern Eide. I do not like car shopping (because it takes time), but Mike did an outstanding job! Mike was prompt getting all the paperwork together and moving efficiently. It had to have a part fixed. Alex and Sam did an amazing job getting it fixed and ready to go.  They all have done an outstanding job! I recommend getting your next car here.

Had my car serviced and it was painless and an actually enjoyable experience. They had a car and driver to take us anywhere we wanted to go while waiting for our car. Went for breakfast and then called for him to pick us up after. Jessica was wonderful at keeping us updated and explaining things. Jessica is a five star employee. The entire team was first class.

I was told by so many people I wouldn’t be approved to finance a car. I went in not thinking I would leave with a car! Dom and Alex mad it happen though! It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend. This was my first car I got myself and they made me feel welcome and explained every question I had.

Terrible service department. Our air conditioning system didn't work on our Civic, so we took it in and a few hundred dollars later, after having been told it was diagnosed,we got the car back. Later that day the A/C stopped working again. When we took it back they discovered, "Oh, your condensor is cracked." So they did a bunch of recharging without checking what the problem was. Now we took the car in for overheating, and after having the car for FIVE days they said it was good to go. Now, one day later, we have a car running red hot and a driveway full of antifreeze. Do NOT take your car to Vern Eide Honda for service.

Horrible service center and personal. Would give no stars if I could!! Stopped there on a road trip from Minneapolis when my Element was having issues. Went to pick up the car a few weeks later and spent $3,500..the shop manager Beau told us there was a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty and laughed because we wouldn’t need it or wouldn’t be back haha 6 hours later we were broken down and the state trooper told us there was no oil left in the car! They were working on the oil pan/ gasket.. called to tell them what happened and they have taken NO responsibility, said it was not their fault.. one excuse/lie after another. Filed a claim with the BBB in Iowa and will be filing with attorney generals office and small claims court!! Horrible place to have vehicle serviced!
