My family and I have leased and bought new and used Hondas from Automaster for more than a decade. Always exceptional treatment. These people really know how to treat people. Today was the Service Department's turn to shine (again!). Picked up our HRV from our driveway, replaced our tires and returned it in less time than its taking to write this review. With text and phone call updates every step of the way. Whether Sales or Service, this is indicative of all of our experiences with Automaster. Exceptional. Thank you.
In total we spent +$2500 at Automaster Honda and walked away with more check engine lights than we arrived with. Unless paying for repairs at a dealership is a hobby of yours, I recommend going to Della Honda, it's worth the drive. After having the rear brakes changed on our Honda, it was displaying 3 brake related check engine lights. We brought the car in to Automaster for repair and were told the electronic parking brake on one wheel would need to be replace. Upon getting into the car I noticed MANY check engine lights on. The initial 3 lights plus ~8 more. I asked what the lights were about and was told "not to worry they will turn off once the electronic parking brake is replaced". We brought the car in a second time and upon picking the car up, noticed the lights are still on, we are told the electronic power steering assist motor “somehow shorted itself out” and that’s what is causing the check engine lights (the ones which weren’t on before we brought the car in the first time), and will be +$1500 to replace. Why were we not told this was the real issue when I noticed the lights on after the first visit? The mechanic denies it was their fault and insists the motor coincidentally shorted itself out. We bring the car in a third time and when picking the car up, are told the part had arrived broken and we need to bring the car in yet again for this repair. Upon picking the car up a fourth time, we notice the car STILL has all the same check engine lights on. Why? “Whenever you bring it in for the wheel bearing, those codes will go away”. What wheel bearing? “Oh the wheel bearing (on the same wheel coincidentally) is bad so it and the associated sensor need replacing”. When did this happen? This is now the third reason they have given us for why the lights are on (the ones which weren’t on before we brought the car in the first time). After bringing the car in a fifth time for the wheel bearing, all the check engine lights are still on. They say “we think it’s a VSA problem. Don’t worry, once you bring your car in a sixth time THEN we can get the check engine lights fixed for you.” No thank you. We brought the car to DELLA Honda in Plattsburgh NY. They immediately diagnose the repair (which was not the VSA modulator Automaster was about to replace), and the car is running perfectly with no lights/warnings.
I'm from out of state and I took my Honda CR-V to Automaster because I was having issues with my tire pressure. I was treated very well by the service employees -- they explained to me what was wrong and didn't try to sell me on anything I didn't need. Despite the Express Service not really being "express" (waited an hour for someone to look at the car) Brian did an excellent job. Next time I have an issue with my car while in the Burlington area, I will take it here!
While customer service is good, the fees are exorbitant. I just had the B 16 service on the CRV and it was $329. Automaster, do you realize that people can look these things up on the internet and find out what other service centers charge? I found anywhere from $90 - $170. Granted they did wash my car, but I am betting I can find a car wash for less than $159. I will definitely not be returning.
I just leased my 2nd Honda Pilot from Automaster, and this is my 4th vehicle purchased from them. To say they treat you like family and go ABOVE & BEYOND is an understatement! Bob in sales is wonderful, always responding to all my emails and makes sure every question is answered. Service is just as great and always make sure I understand all services being provided. I don't think I will ever purchase a vehicle anywhere else as long as I live in the area
The Automaster Honda, has for many years, provided consistently exceptional service from both sales and service. Would never take Honda elsewhere for service. Never had a issue.
We purchased our Odyssey from The Automaster back in 2019. Typically we go to our local mechanic for oil changes and tire changes overs, but we had an emissions light and some recalls to have looked over. We had it recently serviced, inspected and recalled parts replaced. We were able to schedule quicker than I anticipated and even got a car wash out of it! Pleased customer over here.
Very disappointed in the push to make customers use "Express Service". I called to make an appt for a regular maintenance and was told twice during the call not to make an appointment - that it would be easier to just come by anytime and use the "Express Service". I was skeptical but was assured that by using "Express Service", it would only take 1-1.5 hours and I was fine with waiting. When I showed up, I was asked if I had an appt, and then I was told "everybody's doing Express Service so it will be several hours before we can get to you". I should've known better.
