2021 Chevrolet Expands Midnight, RS, and Sport Editions

Chevrolet becomes the best-selling GM brand in America, it might not deliver the performance range like Dodge Durango or Ford Edge ST, still, people are impressed with Chevy’s sporty ranges. Based on customer’s demand Chevrolet announced the expansion of its sport, RS trims, and midnight ranges. 

These special packages are recently offered by several models of chevy, including the 2021 Chevrolet Traverse, Equinox, and Silverado. The company is providing the three-row crossover with some extra options and varieties. Chevrolet offers this special edition with unique trims in a custom look that customers want straight from the factory. They are initiating a win-win situation for both the customers and the company by increasing the market share and revenue. 

Chevrolet makes its 2021 Traverse model available in Midnight and Sport edition packages. The Midnight edition of Traverse is available for LS and LT trims and convert the SUV into an all-black accent including  Mosaic Black Metallic exterior with black ice grille and black roof rails, that is featured with black-painted aluminum wheels as well as black bowtie and badging.

On the other hand, the Sport package will be featured on the same trim levels with the overall black accents and various color options. The black accents will be black-aluminum wheels, fog lamp bezels, black ice grille, and tailgate applique. The sport package also comes up with black roof rails, black bowtie emblems, and black Traverse badging.

The company has planned to add these midnight and sport edition in almost half of its SUV versions. The customers can also order these editions with any Traverse exterior colors.

2021 Chevy Traverse exterior colors include:

• Silver Ice Metallic 
• Summit White
• Black Cherry Metallic
• Graphite Metallic
• Iridescent Pearl Tricoat
• Satin Steel Metallic
• Cajun Red Tintcoat

Chevrolet experienced the highest penetration rate in Rs trim compared to other special editions. There is a huge contribution of small and mid-size SUVs of RS in the sale of Chevy. This is the reason, that the company added RS edition in its expansion model. The RS trim has been added to the Equinox model of 2022. 

The 2022 Equinox RS edition is available in gloss black mesh grille, black bowtie emblems, black badging along nameplates. It has 19-inch android wheels and an RS shift Knob. There will be a black and red stitching in-cabin part. 

Chevrolet also got some great part of the sale with its Readline Edition models that includes the category of trucks, cars, and SUVs. The company also revealed that its 60 percent sales come from the Traverse premium buyers who chose Readline Edition, and around 80 percent of Readline sold in 2020. Chevy is also planning to own a Suburban, Tahoe, and Silverado HD  for Traverse Readline. 

The updated Chevy Traverse is expected to arrive for the 2021 model. Although, the revised model’s arrival has been delayed until 2022 due to this pandemic. This is one of the reasons that Chevrolet is announcing this sport, RS, and midnight editions to make buyers engaged.
